Wetrix+
This game was under looked on the PC and N64 both which lack in good puzzle games. The game makes you build lakes and making sure they dont leak into the background. May not sound fun but you might wanna give it a try. The game has a very steep learning curve but brings change to the genre. We love puzzle games and this did not dissappoint. Read on and see why.
Genre:Puzzle
Developer: Zed Two
Publisher: Acclaim
Available:12.28.99
Format:1 GD-Rom
Players: 1-2

The graphis were very nice and smoth and not as fuzzy as the N64 version. The game packs alot of colors and beautiful backgrounds. No real fancy stuff but some very cool special effects. I mean look at the screen below, lots of action and very nice graphics.

Screen

The control take a while to get used to, as it requires quick and fast movement of the analog or d-pad. Buttons have to be pushed carefully to because a false move can make you lose very quick. If you have ever played the N64 version you'll find things very much the same.

The RePlay is very good. 2-player mode included makes bashing your best friend a little fun but why no 4-player? With multiple difficulites and many modes you'll be playing for eternity.

Screen

The sound was rather lame. Music was a dark techno type and sounds pretty much the same. It was very dull. The in game sounds also arn't so very good. The water sounds will make you want to take a piss so make sure you go to the bathroom before you play.

Well this is one of my favorite puzzle games. Making lakes and daming them up may not seem like fun but boy it sure is. After you get over the learning curve it becomes a snap. But getting way high scors is very hard. The game warrents a rental if not purchase.

Graphics: 92 For a puzzle game these graphics kick ass.
Sound: 68 Very bland. The music is techno but sorta freaky. The in game sounds sorta suck to.
Control: 82 The controls are easy to use (most of the time). The button layout is very good and is similar to the N64 version.
Replay: 90 With all the modes you'll be playing for days on end.
Overall : 85 If you like puzzle games don't shy away. Also the price keeps on dropping, so you have no excuse not to buy.
